Using Multiple Devices

How your account syncs across phone, tablet, and desktop.

Last updated April 2026

Manager Toolkit works across all your devices. Whether you use it on your laptop at your desk, your phone during a commute, or a tablet in a meeting room, your data is always up to date.

How Syncing Works

All your data is stored in the cloud and accessed through your browser or the installed web app. There is no separate sync process - when you open Manager Toolkit on any device, it fetches the latest data from the server. Changes you make on one device are immediately available on any other.

This means you can start logging a catchup on your laptop and review it on your phone minutes later. There is nothing to configure or enable.

You need an active internet connection to access Manager Toolkit. The app does not currently support offline mode, so changes require connectivity to save.

Same Account, Multiple Devices

You can sign in to Manager Toolkit on as many devices as you like using the same account. There is no device limit. Your subscription, data, and preferences are tied to your account, not to a specific device.

Open Manager Toolkit in your browser on the new device.
Sign in with the same email address or Google account you use elsewhere.
All your data - teams, catchups, actions, targets, and everything else - is immediately available.

Installing as a Web App

For a more native experience on mobile devices, you can install Manager Toolkit as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This adds an icon to your home screen and opens the app without browser navigation bars.

  • iOS - Open Manager Toolkit in Safari, tap the Share button, and select "Add to Home Screen"
  • Android - Open in Chrome, tap the menu, and select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install app"

See the mobile guide for more detailed instructions.

What Syncs and What Does Not

Syncs across devices:

  • All your data (teams, catchups, actions, targets, surveys, retros, and everything else)
  • Your account settings, subscription status, and notification preferences

Per-device (does not sync):

  • Your selected theme and display preferences (these are stored locally in your browser)
  • Filter states and sidebar collapse state
  • Browser-level settings like zoom level and bookmarks
If you use different themes on different devices - for example, a dark theme on your phone and a light theme on your laptop - each device remembers its own preference. You do not need to switch back and forth.

Troubleshooting Sync Issues

If data appears out of date on a device:

  • Refresh the page (pull down on mobile, F5 or Cmd+R on desktop)
  • Check your internet connection
  • Sign out and sign back in to refresh your session
  • Clear the browser cache if stale data persists

If the issue continues, please contact support with details of which device and browser you are using.
