Default Preferences

Set your default team, AI preferences, and other workspace defaults.

Default preferences let you configure how Manager Toolkit behaves when you create items or load pages. Setting these once saves you from making the same selections every time.

Accessing Preferences

Go to Profile > Preferences.
Adjust the settings described below.
Changes are saved automatically.

Default Team

If you manage multiple teams, you can set a default team. When creating new items such as catchups, actions, or targets, the default team will be pre-selected. This saves time if most of your work relates to one particular team.

You can override the default on any individual item. The setting simply determines which team is selected when you first open a creation form. If your workload shifts between teams over time, update the default to match your current focus.

AI Summary Toggle

Control whether AI summaries are generated automatically when you visit pages. When enabled, summaries appear on the dashboard and other pages. When disabled, the AI summary button is hidden and no AI processing occurs on your data.

AI features require a Pro subscription. If you are on the free plan, these toggles will not be visible in your preferences.

AI Generation Toggle

Separately from summaries, you can control whether AI generation features are available. This includes AI-suggested actions, note improvements, and content generation. Disabling this hides AI generation options from forms and editors.

Some managers prefer to write their own notes and create actions manually. Turning off AI generation removes the AI options from your workflow without affecting any other functionality. You can re-enable it at any time if you change your mind.

Theme Preferences

Your preferred theme is also managed from the preferences page. See Theme Customisation for details on choosing and creating themes.

Theme preferences are stored locally in your browser, so you can use different themes on different devices. For example, you might prefer a darker theme on your laptop and a lighter one on your phone.

Set your default team to whichever team you interact with most. You can always change the team when creating individual items, but having the right default speeds up your workflow.
