Manager Toolkit uses a small number of cookies and browser storage mechanisms to provide the service, keep you signed in, and understand how the platform is used. This article explains what each one does.

Authentication Cookies
Clerk sets cookies to manage your authentication session. These include a session token and related identifiers. Without these cookies, you cannot remain signed in. They are encrypted, httpOnly where applicable, and expire when your session ends or after a set period.
These cookies are strictly necessary for the application to function. They are not used for tracking or analytics purposes. If you clear these cookies, you will be signed out and will need to log in again on your next visit.
Analytics Cookies
PostHog sets cookies to track anonymous usage data. This includes which pages are visited, which features are used, and how users navigate the application. The data is used to improve Manager Toolkit and is not shared with third parties for advertising.
You can opt out of analytics tracking from the cookie consent banner when you first visit the site. If you have already accepted, you can clear your cookies and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Local Storage
Manager Toolkit uses your browser's localStorage to save preferences such as:
- Your selected theme and colour scheme
- Sidebar collapsed or expanded state
- Dashboard widget configuration
- Other UI settings that make the app feel personalised
These values never leave your browser and are not sent to any server.
Third-Party Cookies
Manager Toolkit does not use third-party advertising cookies. The only third-party cookies come from our service providers (Clerk for auth, PostHog for analytics, and Cloudflare for hosting), all of which are essential or opt-in.
We do not participate in any advertising networks and no cookie data is shared with advertisers or data brokers. Our third-party providers are chosen for their strong privacy practices and are used solely to deliver the Manager Toolkit service.
