Many managers are responsible for more than one team. Whether you lead two squads, manage across departments, or oversee both a delivery team and a support team, Manager Toolkit is designed to handle this.
Create Separate Teams
Start by creating a team for each group you manage. Keeping teams separate means you can track catchups, actions, targets, and sentiment independently for each one. This gives you a clear picture of how each team is performing without the data blurring together.
Use the Team Filter
Throughout Manager Toolkit, you will find a team filter that lets you scope your view to a specific team. Use this when you want to focus on one team at a time - for example, reviewing overdue actions for just your platform team, or checking catchup cadence for your design team.
Set Different Catchup Cadences
Each team may need a different rhythm. A newer team might benefit from weekly one-to-ones, while an experienced team might only need fortnightly conversations. Set the catchup frequency per team member so your reminders reflect the actual pace you need.
Track Key Themes Across Teams
Key themes work across your entire workspace, not just a single team. If a topic like "process overhead" or "hiring" comes up in multiple teams, the theme will show connections from both. This helps you spot organisation-wide patterns that might otherwise stay hidden within individual teams.
The Dashboard as Your Cross-Team View
Your dashboard aggregates information from all your teams by default. Use it as your morning briefing to see which team members need a catchup, which actions are overdue, and where sentiment is shifting. You can then drill into specific teams as needed.

Avoid Burnout
Managing multiple teams is demanding. Use the Calendar view to monitor your weekly activity load and make sure you are not overextending. If your management activity is consistently high, it may be time to delegate or discuss workload with your own manager.
