Viewing Your Calendar

Month and week views, filtering by type, and navigating your timeline.

Last updated April 2026

The calendar provides a visual timeline of your management activity. This guide covers how to navigate the calendar, switch between views, and filter by event type.

Calendar Views

The calendar supports different views to suit how you prefer to plan your time:

  • Month view - shows the full month at a glance, with events displayed on their respective dates. This is useful for spotting gaps in your activity and planning ahead.
  • Week view - focuses on a single week, giving you more detail about each day. This is helpful for day-to-day planning and seeing what is coming up in the near term.

Switch between views using the controls at the top of the calendar. Use the navigation arrows to move forward and backward through time.

Event Types

The calendar displays several types of events, each colour-coded for easy identification:

Catchups

Recorded one-to-one conversations with team members.

Meetings

Group meeting records.

Action Deadlines

Due dates for your tracked tasks.

Target Due Dates

Deadlines for team member goals.

Reminders

Date-based alerts you have set.

The colour coding lets you quickly see the mix of activity on any given day or week without reading each entry.

Filtering Events

If the calendar feels cluttered, you can filter by event type to show only the categories you are interested in. For example, you might filter to show only catchups and action deadlines during your weekly planning session, or show only reminders when checking what is coming up for your team.

Filtering does not delete or hide events permanently. It simply adjusts the current view so you can focus on what is relevant.

Clicking on a calendar event takes you to the relevant item in Manager Toolkit. For example, clicking on a catchup opens the catchup record, and clicking on an action deadline opens the action details. This makes the calendar a convenient launching point for reviewing and updating your activity.

Use the month view at the start of each week to plan your management activities. If a day looks empty, consider whether you have missed recording any conversations or whether it was genuinely a quiet day.
The calendar is read-only - you cannot create events directly on it. Items appear automatically as you use other features.
