The Plus Menu

Quick-create any item from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

The plus menu is a floating action button located in the bottom toolbar of Manager Toolkit. It gives you a fast way to create new items without navigating away from your current page.

How It Works

Tap or click the plus icon in the toolbar to open the creation menu. You will see a list of everything you can create.

Open any page in Manager Toolkit.
Click the + button in the bottom toolbar.
Select the type of item you want to create from the menu.
Fill in the details and save.

What You Can Create

The plus menu lets you create the following items from anywhere in the app:

Catchup

Log a one-to-one conversation with a team member.

Action

Create a task with a priority, deadline, and optional link to another entity.

Meeting Note

Record notes from a meeting and extract follow-up actions later.

Survey

Build a new survey with questions for your team.

Retrospective

Set up a live, collaborative retrospective session.

Target

Set a goal with success criteria and assign it to a team member.

Journey

Start a structured pathway with milestones and tasks.

Reminder

Create a date-based reminder, optionally linked to a person.

Context-Aware Behaviour

The plus menu adapts based on where you are in the app. If you are viewing a specific team member, creating a catchup or action will automatically pre-fill that person. This saves time and keeps your records connected.

Similarly, if you are on a team page, the team will be pre-selected when you create a new target, survey, or retrospective. This context awareness means you spend less time filling in form fields and more time capturing the information that matters.

The plus menu is especially useful on mobile, where it sits within easy thumb reach at the bottom of the screen. Use it as your primary way to create new items on the go.
