A Performance Review captures everything you've already tracked for a team member during a defined period — catchups, meetings, targets, projects, actions, and key themes — and lets you add highlights and structured notes on top.
Open the New Review modal
From the Performance Reviews page (in the sidebar under "Develop Your Team"), click New Review. You can also use the floating "+ Create" button anywhere in the dashboard.
Pick a template
Choose a template — Quarterly, Annual, Probation, 30 / 60 / 90, or Custom — to pre-fill the review period.
The templates default like this:
- Quarterly — most recent full quarter.
- Annual — last calendar year.
- Probation — first 90 days from the member's joined date.
- 30 / 60 / 90 — pick a window from the member's joined date.
- Custom — pick any start and end date.
The template only pre-fills the period; once the review is created it doesn't behave any differently.
Pick the team and member
Select the team and the team member this review is for. Each review is for exactly one member.
Title
A default title is generated for you (e.g. "Sarah – Sep 2026 review"), but you can change it.
Period
The period scopes the auto-pulled timeline. Catchups, meetings, targets and actions outside this window won't appear in the timeline. You can edit the period later from the detail page.
What happens next
When you click Create, the review opens in Draft status. The Timeline tab will already show the activity from the period for that member. You can move it to In Progress when you start working on it, and Completed when you're done.
