When you open a Performance Review, the Timeline tab shows a small comparison banner at the top if the same team member has a previous completed review whose period ended before this review's period started.
What the banner shows
- Previous review title: the most recent completed review for this member.
- Action follow-through delta: % of in-period actions completed last time vs this time.
- Sentiment delta: average catchup sentiment compared to the previous period.
- Themes carried over: number of key themes that appear in both periods.
Why it matters
Reviews are a snapshot. The interesting story is the trend across reviews. If follow-through is dropping or sentiment is dipping, the banner surfaces it before you've even looked at the timeline.
Dismiss
Don't need it? Click Dismiss on the banner. It's per-review and per-session, open the same review later and it'll be back.
When it doesn't appear
- The member has no previous completed review (this is their first).
- Manager Toolkit can't compute a meaningful comparison (e.g. zero in-period actions in either review).
