Catchup Reminders

Set reminders linked to catchups so follow-ups are not forgotten.

Last updated April 2026

During a catchup, you may agree to follow up on something at a specific time. Rather than relying on memory, you can create a reminder directly from the catchup. The reminder is linked to the conversation, so when it fires you have full context on why it was set.

Creating a Reminder from a Catchup

Open a catchup from the Catchups page or log a new one.
In the catchup form, look for the option to Add Reminder.
Set a title for the reminder, such as "Follow up on training request".
Choose the date when you want to be reminded.
Save the catchup. The reminder is created and linked automatically.

How Linked Reminders Work

When the reminder is due, it includes a link back to the catchup where it was created. This means you can click through and re-read the conversation to refresh your memory before taking action.

Linked reminders appear in your Reminders list like any other reminder. The only difference is the connection to their source catchup.

Common Uses

  • Agreed follow-ups - "I will check the budget approval status next week"
  • Deferred topics - something that came up but was not the right time to discuss in full
  • Probation and review dates - reminders linked to the catchup where the date was agreed

Catchup Cadence Reminders

Separately from individual catchup reminders, Manager Toolkit also tracks your catchup cadence. If you set a frequency for a team member (weekly, fortnightly, etc.), the dashboard highlights when a catchup is overdue. This is an automatic feature based on the cadence you configure, not something you need to create manually.

Create reminders during the catchup while the conversation is fresh. It takes a few seconds and prevents follow-ups from slipping through the cracks.
